My darling granddaughter Zoe was here in August for a visit.  We had lots of fun creating art.  Here is an easel full!

Hands!

A few trips ago I started tracing my granddaughters hands - I try to do it each time we are together as a memento for me.  This winter I decided to trace my own hands.  The first is an idea I saw on Pinterest.  The second I zentangled - then photographed and used in a digital collage.

Miami march 2013

Last week we got back from a 10 day visit to South Miami, where my son and his wife now live. I took a gazillion photos so I will try to pick out the best and upload a few posts.

Love, love, love

I discovered this design in a blog I saw and really loved it. Watercolour paper cut to ATC size. Background stamped musical notes with black archival ink. Blue, pink and red watercolour crayons, spritzed with water, allowed to run ... Then dried. Black crayon around the edges, then wet brushed. Heart stamps on old dictionary pages, then roughly cut out and glued onto background. Black crayon around heart cut outs. Tomorrow I will put them on to cards.

Sea shells

Continuing the theme of warmth ... Brrr it sure is cold outside. This is how I collect shells these days. These days we still walk the beach and collect shells .... Then I arrange them and photograph them ... Or sometimes draw them. Last day of vacation we take our collection back to the beach, and release them!

Beach

I have hundreds of photos of my favourite beach, Playa Guiones, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This is one of my faves.

Crafting with Zoe

In December we were lucky enough to visit our family in Costa Rica (again). I had So much fun with Zoe, she is the perfect age for arts and crafts!

Birds

Spent a good deal of time cleaning up the studio today ... it was way out of hand!  Put together these bird themed cards.
