Oh my, it has been far too long since I posted. So here we are again ...
My dear DIL Jillian asked me to paint some boxes for her this summer ... she was giving them to her friends as part of their wedding presents. I had so much fun that I kept going ...
These are boxes that came from the dollar store. Removed the hardware and lightly sanded and then given a primer coat in and out.
Then a base coat in a light shade acrylic of whatever colour scheme I am in the mood for. Then I add splashes of other colours, using a variety of tools - brushes, scrapers, sponges whatever. Then a background stamp of some sort - script, distressing, musical notes. Then more stamps, some bought many homemade. Top coat of modge podge ... with a bit of glimmer in it.
The hardest part is getting the hardware off and back on ...
